2000 Ford mustang. engine skipping and check engine light flashing. I have checked plugs and wires and they seem fine.

It sounds like you have a misfire. Does it miss more under a load or does it miss primarily,at idle. If under load, it is likely ignition related. Spray water on the wires and coils with the engine running. If they are carbon tracking it will be very obvious as the engine will miss worse.

I am experienceing what seems to be an engine misfire which feels like a "bump", or a short loss of power. It occurs at a road speed between 45-55 mph. It is intermittent and does not happen during an

I would give it a tune up, plugs wires. Mostly under a load will it miss eratic. I would start there. Im sure youll find thats what the problem is. As far as trans, do see that happening.

My 2001 chevy blazer is misfiring and will not rev beyond 2000rpm without cutting out but it idles alright

trying to rev the engine in neutral will not work. the computer will limit the rpms.it is kind of a goofy safety measure built into the system. to diagnos the missfire you can remove one plug wire at a time with an insulated pliers.the missfireing one will -not-slow down the engine speed. if all cylinder are firing properly at idle and only misfires under load you will probably need some help have a driver put on the brake and accelerate a little untill it misses. when you have verifyed this try the same thing with the plug wires while it is missing. do not keep the engine torqed this way for more thn a couple of seconds. you could damage the trans.. when you locate the missing cylinder you will need to find out why it is missing. look at the spark plug, and maybe swap one plug wire for another to see if the missfire moves to another cylinder. i am assuming you have no test equipment. if that does not change, see if you can get at that injector for that cylinder and lightly tap on it with a metal punch.if problem seems to go away or engine misses when tapping injector it will need to be replaced.

Misfire under load 94 mx6 6 cyl

try spraying the ignition components with a spary bottle(water) and see if it causes the car to run rough or miss. It is possible that you may have rubbed through wires, cracked coils, cracked plugs. Also checked plugs for carbon tracking.

Engine misses when placed under load

replace the plug wires this will fix your secondary ignition breakdown. the egr code is due to a bad dpfe sensor which is for back pressure on egr valve.this will not cause misfire.
