SOURCE: outside temperature sensor

Here's a link to show you where to look, appears it's to left of drivers headlight looking from in front of vehicle, attached to or near upper rad support. My guess is it will probably be a dealer item, depending how fast you want it I guess. Don't be afraid to pull wire connector off & clean & re-install it, just to see if that doesn't help. A little di-electric grease on installation is a good idea too, to help keep moisture out.
When you get to link(page) scroll down to 4.6L engine, page 2 & click on that. Might not be your engine, but good chance ambient sensor is in same area.( http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c152801e0000 )

My sunroof won't work in my 2003 Kia Sorento

It depends on the problem, in the diagram check the two fuses on the right, hot all the time. Not only check the fuses, check the fuses for voltage, use a testlite or something.
In the diagram on the right, is overhead console. If console problem, you may be able to use jumper wire on proper two terminals to close the roof?
In the picture on the left should unit/motor, if something wrong there, I don't know how to help you? If you need to dig in to the overhead lining? I can't help you.

Have a 03 F150 w/moonroof and the compass/temp display has gone out. OEM is not cheap. Any replacement suggestions

It is actually 1 or 2 resistors that have come unsoldered.

If you have a fine point soldering iron, you can repair it. Might want to stop by Radio Shack or the likes and pick up 2 or 3 58 ohm resistors.

Remove the screw from the bottom of the overhead console, and pull down to release the spring clips.

Unscrew the PC Board from the housing, and look at the surface mounted resistors ( they should be marked 580 on them ).

This is what I am talking about on a SuperDuty over head console ( this has 62 ohm resistors / marked 620 )

Missing Surface mounted resistors ( circled in red )

Replaced with 62 ohm resistors from radio shack ( covered in tape after taking picture )

Pat on F150online.com did a nice write up on this for a F-150 overhead console ( I never got around to taking pictures of a F-150, only the SuperDuty Console ).
Check the Technical Articles / How To forum for a thread titled overhead console repair ( think that is it ).

Outside temp light and compass dont work. what can i do to fix it?

Do the map lights in the overhead console / Illuminated vanity lights work?

This is the same fuse, Cab fuse panel fuse #23 ( hot in run position ).

If the map lights & vanity mirrors on the visors work correctly, it is the solid state module in the overhead console that is the problem ( have seen this, more common on SuperDuty line ).\

Overhead console temp reading is -40

There is a sensor tucked up behind the bumper to read outside temperature, either it broke or the wires came off.Or the sensor it self went bad
