Normally you lift the bonnet, pull the dipstick and test it, however Jaguar in their wisdom made it a sealed system with a fill level plug which is accessed from under the vehicle.

With engines controlled by the ECM the voltages that are required to operate spark plugs is very high ( in excess of 60.000 volts) This in turn means that the current flow across the electrodes of the plugs is minimal and so the electrodes do not burn as they did in years gone by. There are manufacturers today that fit v6 engines in the engine bays where the rear 3 plugs cannot be easily reached and so they fit platinum plugs and recommend that they never be changed. It really is a preference thing but as the ECM continually tunes the engine (hundreds of times a minute) tune ups are basically a thing of the past and any problems will be recorded in the fault codes.

Raise the ride height? It looks like your front air shock absorbers have failed... of could be the air line manifold near the metal air storage tank.

You might need a lube job or you may need to see if noise is coming from another place such as your engine water pump, brakes, power steering. Look for leaks.
