Where are the traction control senors in a 2009 chevrolet trailblazer?

Where are the sensors for a 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer? The service traction control light keeps coming on. The speed sensor was replaced and the multi sensor has been replaced.

The caution slippery conditions light is on with the service traction control light. The speed sensor was replaced in the drivers side front then after 3 more visits they changed the multi sensor and did a front end alignment.

The traction control uses the ABS wheel speed sensors (1 on each wheel - usually in the wheel bearing assembly). The speed sensor is for your speedometer. Do you have an ABS light on too?

The caution slppery conditions light comes on with the service traction control light. The driver's side speed sensor was changed. Then the multi sensor and a front end alignment was done. 1 week later the light is back on.

SOURCE: 2003 trailblzer head light bulb replacement

on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, you have to remove the grill to access the back of the head lights. It takes a good pull (don't be afraid to use a little force). Pop the hood and there 4 metal pieces that slide up and several plastic pieces that pop up. You will see the lips on the metal slides (about an inch in width) and you pull those up to loosen the grill. There are 2 of these slides (one on each far side, almost hidden) that are hard to get your hand into that you might need a screwdriver or something for leverage to slide them up. Then pop up the plastic pieces holding the headlamps in place and with a little force pull the grill off.
Then you can access the back side of the headlamps to replace the bulbs.

You will have to get the codes read first. The most common problem is the connectors to the air bags and sensors. Minor corrosion that won't normally affect any other kind of system screws up the system.

Hello. here is the instructions for removing the sunshade.

  • Insert a small tool into the bezel access hole (1).
  • Important: Midway through the rotation cycle, the tool will move further into the access hole.
  • Push upward on the tool while rotating the sunshade parallel to the windshield. The sunshade pivot arm bezel should appear to be recessed into the bezel.

Abslight stays on. How to fix? This is a2007trailblazer?

First you need to have EBCM - electronic brake control module check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . If the light is on there is a code stored . I think most part stores can do this and for free . After you find out what code is stored , looking up that code in service repair information for diagnostic trouble shooting chart would be next step . There are a few codes too.
    DTC C0035 or C0040
    DTC C0045 or C0050

    DTC C0287
    DTC C0290 or C0292

Find the code do the diagnostic's , fix the problem , wiring issue's , a sensor , bad module ,what ever it is . The light will go out then . Here is a sample of code discription .

How to turn off traction control on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Alexandre, check in your owners manual for small off button on the shifter under the large engage button. If you do not want traction control on in your vehicle check your manual for traction control fuse location and remove fuse. I can not say this is a wise thing to do, because your traction control is a safety feature for your vehicle. ABS braking system will be lost if you pull the fuse also. Pulling the fuse will disable abs, traction and stability control. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My 2006 Trailblazer EXT LS gave a p0017 engine code. I replaced the camshaft sensor and it still has a rough idle and hesitates until you get up to 35mph. What should I do now?

Poo17 is for sensor b therefore you have a senor a on the cam as well and it maybe creating the problem. you need to check it as well. The code for cam senor a is poo16. If it runs rough when you start it you may have a bad idle air control or engine tem. control which tells the computer what the temp is outside and determines how much fuel is put into the engine. I would check the idle air control first.
