Remove alarm reinstall after fitting. at least cut power supply and back up supply fit battery repair reinstall alarm.

SOURCE: Car won't start. Believe kill switch is engaged.

Do you have a chipped key {small black thing in the middle of the key} if not you need to take your registration into the dealer and order a new key.

the guy pushed a button under my dash turned the key and car started

you need to know where that push button is under the dash

if you cant find it your self ... ring the place back for instructions

you may have to get them to call out and show you or

May want to try connecting the negative cable last. Also, try locking and unlocking the door with the key or disarming the security system. The security system may have caused the old battery to go bad if it has a malfunction.

Horn on my sienna goes off while replacing the battery
Hook up cables and lock all doors,first try unlocking drivers door with key. If that does not workstart over and then try unlocking trunk/hatch with key. This usually will work, I highly sugest you use original key if possible.

Try closing the doors then hook up jumper cables, let it sit for a couple of minutes with cables hooked up and other vehicle running. Then try to use key to turn off alarm before opening door. Then try to start it.

You can disengage alarm with a remote if you have one otherwise, close bonnet, all doors and lock the car by turning key completely to the left and right few times and do the same to unlock. This will dead lock and unlock the car. When you hookup the battery make sure you connect red wire first and then the black one.

Hello. If you have a FACTORY alarm system, the deactivte prodedure is to cycle the key off-on (not to start) 5 times, in the ignition. This feature is provided in case you lose the remote, or the remote battery goes dead.

Note: this will only work with the Factory system. If you have an aftermarket system, this answer will no benefit you.
