Where is the number 5 coil on a 2006 dodge magnum 2.7 engine

You don't say what engine yours has ! This 06 dodge magnum with 2.7 mite be similar .If not you mite find another video 2006 Dodge Magnum 2 7L V6 EGR Valve Replacement

try this procedure and let me know if it work.make sure the engine is in normal temperature, all accessories are off.
start the engine and let it idle for 1 minute.
put the selector into D and let the engine idle for 30 seconds.
turn the AC on and let the engine idle for 30 seconds.
turn the AC off and let the engine idle for 30 seconds.
put the selector into P and let the engine idle for 30 seconds.
switch engine OFF for 2 minutes.

the hemi engine is 2 years or 30,000 miles. the 2.7 and 3.5 are 5 years 100,000 miles

that is the coil on top of #5 spark plug. you can replace the coil or switch it to another cylinder and see if you get a different code. misfire codes are 301-306.

Believe it or not the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, cylinder number 1 is the rear passanger side. The cylinders from left to right are 1-3-5 on the rear of the engine and 2-4-6 on the front of the engine. the coil block i numbered 5-1-3 on the rear and 2-4-6 on the front. I hope this helps.

any dodge dealer can do recalls but there is no brake recalls on a 2006 magnum...only a couple of tsb and those are only free under basic warranty

drivers side plugs from front of engine to rear are cylinder numbers 1...3...5...7
passenger side front to rear 2...4...6...8..
