SOURCE: 2000 GMC Jimmy Power seat stopped working

Left side of the dash, to the right of the IP fuse block. Its a 25 amp circuit breaker, an aluminum cased breaker. CHECK FOR POWER ON THE SEAT SWITCH "A" TERMINAL AND GROUND ON THE "D" TERMINAL. IF YOU HAVE POWER AND GROUND THE SWITCH IS BAD.

Gmc jimmy heated seat not working on one side only.

Hello-
If your fuses are good, perhaps your heated seat switch is faulty. You can test the switch for connectivity using a meter to see if power is going through the switch when in the ON position. If the meter shows no power while in the ON position, replace the switch. If power is reaching the seat, then likely the heating element itself within the seat is the culprit.

How do you remove a heater core from a 2000 GMC JImmy

2000 GMC Jimmy heater core replacement in order to replace a heater core in a 2000 gmc jimmy the coolant must be completely drained and the entire dash including radio, vents and panel covers must be removed. four screws hold the top portion(closest to the windshield) in place. they can be found under the windshield defrost vent. after the entire dash is removed a safety harness under the steering column must be removed and the steering column must be dropped to the driver seat. the heater core housing(black plastic) is located right center of the dash and is a two part housing one piece on top of the other. the housing is attached to the fire wall and must detached before replacement can continue. after detaching the housing from the fire wall separate the housing by unscrewing the six screws that hold it together. the heater core is now exposed. disconnect the heater core from the two hoses and discard. installation is the uninstall process in reverse. it is a very long and drawn out process that is not accomplished in just an hour or two . make sure you have most of the day or several afternoons to finish . Good luck and take pictures with your cell phone to use as reference.

Gmc jimmy keeps eating fly wheels and starters. its like motor is locking for a second.

With starter removed, turn the flywheel with a tool. It is easier with tranny removed, but check for how easily it moves. Does engine have lots of power? Is the engine making any kind of knocking noises?

I had the problem with the front seat not working also. It was the connector under the drivers seat that was loose.
