How do you change the side marker blub on a 2005 Honda Element?
SOURCE: how to change a tail light bulb in a honda element
Open the hatch and the tailgate.
Remove the two mounting screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver, and remove the taillight assembly from the body by pulling it back.
Determine which of the three bulbs is burned out: brake/taillight, turn signal light or backup light. (I assume you’ve already determined this)
Remove the socket by turning it one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
Pull the bulb straight out of its socket.
Push the new bulb straight into the socket until it bottoms.
Reinstall the socket into the light assembly by turning it clockwise until it locks.
Test the lights to make sure the new bulb is working.
When reinstalling the taillight assembly, first place the two pins in the holes in place. Tighten the two mounting bolts.
Hope this is helpful to you.

power for the right front marker light comes from terminal #11 at the head light switch, there is a junction behind the center of the instrument panel, were the power wire splits to both front marker lights so if the red/black wire at the right light has no power i would check the splice behind the center of the instrument panel, or you could just make a jumper to the left light red/black wire. and that should take care of the problem, the black wire is ground and it is mounted to a bolt on the right front fender.
let me know if there is any else i can do for you.

You have to look under the car and find the lamp connector. Turn it, and remove it from the hole it is in. Replace the bulb and reinsert the assembly back into the hole you removed it from. Don't forget to turn it until it locks in place. Hope this helps you out.
