My 2006 Dodge Charger SE is having issues in cold weather. It seems like the car will not warm up no matter how long I leave it running when the weather is cold. If I let it run for a while and then turn the key off and then back to on it then warms up. Also the heat only runs while the car is in motion. A lightning bolt symbol is also visible on the dash when I start the car until I have to cut it off and back on to get the car to warm up. Again these symptoms only appear in cold weather and not warm weather. Thanks for any help.

Heater blows cold air only 2006 Dodge Charger?

Check all vacuum lines first for any possible leaks especially if you have a flow control near firewall or hoses going through firewall. If you feel hoses going to heater core, are they both hot to touch when engine at normal running temperature? Coolant level is up, and been bled properly? Did you have to add coolant lately for any reason?

Runs ruff while cold at start up

There is a door in your air intake that is thermoststicly controlled
that is to remain partially closed until tge engine warms up.Thereby letting in cold air on a cold engine, causing it to run rough.

2006 Dodge Charge 3.5 80000 miles, Police cruisr. Stalls when cold. Will run for awhile then stalls again. If it runs long enough to warm up it quits stalling. Any ideas?

well the 1st thing u need to do here is have the electronic engine control system tested for fault codes, this is the very 1st thing we do in the shop for any problem like this, the idle and all other functions are monitored and controlled by a powertrain control computer.

Engine Lurching in Cold Weather on Highway

I recommend a trans fluid and filter change first. It definately sounds like the problem is in the trans. If it was any sort of engine component you would have had a check engine light on.

Sensor light comes on(2008 Dodge Charger)

if the weather has changed and got cold your tire pressure would have dropped and would be lower. 2 options. 1 is fill ther tire to 30 psi and ride it out (remembering that when it warms up the tire pressure will automatically go up too)
2. Is to run a dry air such as nitrogen which does not change pressure in hot/cold weather.
Hope this helps

2001 Dodge Caravan SE 2.4L.. In cold Weather it starts then stalls and dies...?

Inlet air temperature sensor, also known as throttle body temperature sensor, will do that. Don't go changing TPS, or IAC, as suggested in other post. If they work good in warm weather, they should do the same in cold. Air inlet sensor tells system how much fuel to deliver according to temperature, as engine needs more fuel the colder it is when starting.
