The LCD backlighting is LEDS and.they are integrated.. unless you have some good electronics knowledge replacing them will be next to impossible.. the only other way is to replace the entire unit either from the dealer or a savage yard.. good luck

if you have the command display adjust the time on command then it will automatically take by instrument cluster if your car don't have the command you must set it by using multifunction switch on steering wheel,
I'am not familiar with your exact model year system. I do know that the voice recognition is fiber optically controlled among other command system functions. If you have sound and your c.d. player and phone work the system is working fiber optically. I think you have a bad microphone. Does your teleaid and roadside system work? They all use the same mic. Try calling roadside and see if they can hear you. The mic should be located in your over head compartment under the vent screen. They were a comman failure in previous models.
