I have replaced throttle body and still have p2112 code, what else could be causing this problem?

The description for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2112 is, "Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed." This DTC sets when the fault status indicates that the throttle plate is at a lower angle than commanded. There are three areas where the fault could be; a mechanical problem with the throttle body (physically stuck closed or binding at a certain position), a wiring issue (circuits are either open or shorted between the throttle body and PCM) or a faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Considering the throttle body has already been replaced, it is unlikely for the new part to have a mechanic issue although not impossible, especially if a salvage/used component was installed. In my experience PCMs are rarely the cause, therefore I would highly suspect a wiring issue. I'd recommend performing a visual inspection of the engine wiring harness for any damage caused by heat from the exhaust, rodents or poor repairs performed in the past. Be sure to inspect the connector to the throttle body as well as the connector pins to ensure they haven't been bent over, corroded or broken. 2007 toyota camry 2.4L engine stall or cut off at idle and sometime when driving do i need to replace the throttle body? code number p2103.

Its rare that you have to replace the whole throttle body. The code given indicates its the throttle position sensor on the side of the throttle body. Its parallel from the actual throttle and fyi to you it only that's 10 mons to replace so don't get ripped off

2000 Saturn Ls2 3.0 have reduced engine power light with error code p1516 which is throttle actuator but i am unsure how to fix? Do i replace entire throttle body???is this a false code??

The throttle actuator opens the throttle. Your gas pedal is really just a switch that sends an electrical signal to the computer which in turn opens the throttle body with an electric servo motor. On most gm products the actuator is a part of the throttle body and cannot be replaced seperately. This is an accurate code and the only way to be sure (without having a dealers repair manual and thousands of dollars of test equipment) is to replace it. I had this same issue with my 04 Cadillac. Bought a used throttle body for 1/3 price of new on ebay and ran fine for several years until I sold it.

2001 Jaguar fault code P1589 Throtle Body angel. Is there a way I can fix without a costley visit to the JAG shop

the throttle body angle is the throttle butterfly opening angle, the signal is sent to the ecm from a potentiometer on the throttle body and is compared to the throttle pedal sensor if both signals are not in unison then you get that fault code you dont say what model you have! if its got a cable operated throttle pedal the pedal sensor is also on the throttle body. so you should clean the butterfly and housing using a solvent and check the wiring and connectors but at that year 99 to 2001 they had problems with throttle bodies lots had to be replaced. so recon throttle body may be best option

It is called a Throttle Actuator Control Motor (TACM)

Those are the codes you got

DO NOT replace the throttle body

Spray the throttle plate with- CRC Throttle Body Cleaner

You should also have COP Ignition Coil-- Codes

A bad coil may be spiking the PCM,coming back
on the TPS and setting thoses codes

2005 Ford Expedition (4wd) with trouble codes p2104 and p2112 completely cuts off at low speeds. All signs point to throttle position sensor, but want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Shown here is the P2104 obd2 code and their general meaning. For a brief description of any particular OBD2 code and how to fix the obd2 trouble code, please browsw below. P2104 Engine TP Actuator Cntl System
This obd2 code is very common on newer vehicles which contain new design of throttle positioner sensor. Instead of putting a tps sensor at the side of your throttle body as in older engines, a throttle actuator control system is installed which eliminates the mechanical linkage (cable) between the throttle body and the throttle pedal. Under the throttle pedal, a throttle switch is installed and a throttle module or actuator is incorporated beside the throttle body. Because there is no mechanical device that wears out, it is more effecient in delivering better mileage and performance torque (besides...the actuator module performs better in getting all throttle signals to the ecm and trany).
To test this code, check the integrity of the wires going to both the throttle body actuator and the ecm including the throttle switch. Most of the time, if you have symptoms like trany going to a limp mode, the culprit originates from the trany circuit. However, if the symptom is engine related like hesitation, the problem resides in the throttle actuator itself which may sometimes includes the replacement of the whole throttle body assembly. Contact ATS if you need a wiring diagram or detailed fixes for your throttle actuator control system.
TIP:
Before replacing the throttle control actuator and throttle body, try cleaning the throttle plates and all plug-in wiring connections. Also, watch out the throttle body mounting bolts which can easily break (use care) when removing them.

I have a 2005 GMC 2500HD code P1516, already replaced APP. Still dies, reduce engine speed comes up. What is the next step?

The Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) / throttle body type trouble codes, may be caused by a loose wiring crimp at the throttle body connector, or a broken throttle body circuit.Inspect all related throttle body terminals for a loose wiring crimp. The loose crimp may be difficult to find, and the poor connection will be between the terminal and the copper strands of the wire. Wiggle test the individual throttle body circuits to see if the concern can be duplicated.
Inspect the related circuits for broken wires inside the insulation. The outer wire insulation may look fine, but the internal copper strands may be partially broken. Breaks in the wires usually occur within 1 to 4 inches of the throttle body connector. Wiggle testing may also induce a trouble code to set.
On C/K trucks complete SI procedures for voltage drop on grounds G103 and G104. Grounds G103 or G104 may be loose or corroded. If a terminal crimp or a broken wire has been found, repair or replace only the circuits involved. There is a throttle body pigtail connector available through GMSPO, post back with what you find.

On a 04 camry with 2.4 ltr engine, can I replace just the throttle position sensor or do i have to replace the entire throttle body? The engine code said faulty throttle body.

I think the terms "Throttle Positon Sensor", TPS and "Throttle Body" can be misleading at least in regards to the 04 Camry.

My 04 Camry gave a diagnostic reading of P2121 for my problem "Throttle PEDAL position switch D circuit". However, we changed out the complete Throttle Body/TPS (Toyota Part #22030-0H020) that did NOT fix problem.

The 04 Camry TPS Electronic Module "Throttle Positon Sensor" is factory assembled and riveted to the side of the throttle body. The only way to service/inspect it would be to cut off or drill out the rivets. Not sure you could open the darn thing if you got it off, but that seems to be the only way Toyota sells them!!

Hopefully a new Throttle PEDAL Position Sensor (Toyota Part # 78010-33010 PEDAL ASSY, ACC)
will fix it. This is located under the dash near the accelerator pedal.

So, now I would recommend FIRST to replace the "Throttle PEDAL Positon Sensor" (it is much, much cheaper) and then the Throttle Body/TPS assembly!! Unless of course, you get a diagnostic code as you did for "faulty throttle body!!
