I have a 1997 saturn sw2. The power windows and internal fan both stopped working one day. Both returned to life for a short period during a cold night a few days later but since have stopped working. When I say ''internal fan'' i am talking about the fan in the console that i can set to hot/cold, feet, hands, defrost etc. I have electronicaly checked the power window relay and it works. I have checked every fuse I can think of but still it doesn't work. What could knock out both of these systems at once?
Which is it ? 93 or 97 Internal fan - this is the HVAC - blower motor fan ! You don't need to check every fuse , just the correct one's !Doing electrical testing is the proper way to find what's wrong . Is it missing battery voltage or is it the ground part of the circuit ! Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? How to use a wiring diagram to pin point testing places .
Investing in some sort of service repair manual to locate the proper power and ground points for the afected system , rather then guessing . An learning how to do proper automotive electrical testing is a must . Or you should probably take it to a qualified repair shop .
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
Basic Electricity for Service Techs Ohm law Current Flow Opens Shorts
How to Use Multimeter to Troubleshoot Common Problems
Without testing I like anyone on here I'd be guessing > I would think a loose connection . Maybe these to systems share a common ground . Do you know what a body ground is ? You need service info . find ground locations .

It is pretty straight forward. You need to drop the front portion of the exhaust, and remove the brace and torque converter dust shield. There is not a gasket. Just rtv. Honda bond works very well, about a 6mm bead all the way around.

sounds like a short. i would check and see if there is any breaks in the defroster lines in the glass. maybe you have a bad connection

It should be written on your compressor. But I do believe that the saturns switched pretty early. All the 93's I've seen so far have the 132a
