Windshield wipers completely stopped working

Well first I would check the fuse box for burned out fuses. Then I would get a simple dc power tester and see if the windshield wiper motor is getting power. If you don't have a bad fuse and the motor is still getting power I would say the motor has burned out.

A6 wipers

How do you know motor is fine, you jumped a wire across from battery to motor? if what you say is correct then it has to be the wiper control switch, if when u jump wire across and motor turns but not wipers the the attachment from motor to wiper assembly is stripped, disassemble and find if it's shaft or plate that's stripped happens when people don't clean windows off from snow ice and just turn wipers on.

I have no brake lights in my '97 dodge caravan le but i have taillights

Have yoiu changed/checled the lightbulbs? (In other words,do your turn signal lights work? If the front turn signal lights work, but the rear don't, then turn on your four (4) way flashers. If the rear lights still don't work, then all the bulbs are bad. It is rare for all the bulbs to be burnt out at the same time, but it does happen.

If the turn signal/four way flasher lights work, then you probably have a bad brake light switch. However, first check your owner's manual to make certain there is not a separate fuse for these lights. If there is, then swap the fuse for the brake lights for another fuse (or relay) of the same size/amperage. (Facing the hood, the power relay box is located on the right side (usually) under the hood.)

The fuse box is located under the dash, on the driver's side of the car. Usually there is a plastic cover that has to be removed to access the underside of the dash, and then there is a plastic cover that has to be removed to access the fuse box. If you don't have an owner's manual, nprmally the fuses and power relays are normally marked on the plastic covers your remove ot access the fuses and power relays.

If the fuses/relays are good, then you have a bad brake light switch. This is located on a bracket just above the brake pedal. When you push the pedal down, the switch makes contact. Disconnect the plug to the switch, and jump across the plug contacts (not the switch) with a small piece of wire, or if a piece of insulated wire is unavailable, you can use a paperclip, you won't get schocked, just make certain that the paperclip does not come in contact with a ground while you have it plugged in to the plug for the brake light switch.

If the lights stil dont work, check for power to the plug for the brake light switch. If you have power to the plug, the turn signals and four-way flashers work, then my guess would be that you have a broken power wire (probably iside the steering column, or a bad turn signal switch. If the brake lights work whe nyou jump out the brake light switch, then the brake light switch is defective.

After replacing the windshield wiper motor on my 1996 dodge caravan the wipers park in the complete opposite position. If I readjust the arm on the motor, the wipers go down not up over the windshield. Is...

This is an old but very current problem also. I just replace my second 97 caravan motor in 6 months because of severe grinding noise and it was the motor both times. I got another re-mfg replacement motor last week and it is totally quiet.
Before you install the crank arm on the motor you operate the wiper switch in all positions to check that the computer is running it intermittently, slow and fast etc. that it and shuts it off at the same position every time. That shut off position is park.
Unplug the external motor connector or fuses. Now push the mechanism arms fully to the right and install the crank arm at two o'clock on the motor shaft, which gives you just enough room to install the hold down nut. Hold one of the metal bars so you don't turn the motor during tightening the nut.
Now reconnect the power plug and test the operation. The motor should shut off with the right end arms fully extended, which, when connected with the blade arm, will make them stop at the bottom of the windshield. Install the driver side wiper arm slightly above level and the left arm 4 inches below that. Don't power tighten yet. Test the operation. If they hit each other adjust one or the other away. This works for most all wiper adjustments. When you get everything looking right and sweeping the full window and not the body. Start tightening and putting every thing back together.
Also clean out the wiper pan and the two drain hoses. The hoses can be pulled loose below the pan. LOL

2000 dodge caravan wipers dont work. I ran hot wire to wiper motor, it works. I have power at wiper switch, but not sure which wires to check

Heres a wiring diagram, this sounds like it may be a wiper module or a bad body control module, you have checked all your fuses and i assume they are good, heres a diagram to help you .afccff5.gif

My 2002 dodge grand caravan turn signal and wipers do not work

Probably is the Body Control Module if you have checked the fuses in the fuse box and none are blown and you have verified power is coming to the wiper and signal switch. One simple fix you can try with the battery disconnected it to unplug and then replug the wriring harness to the BCM that fixed a Chrysler T&C that had the same problem. I also include what someone else gave as advice.
The body control module is located under the dash, directly behind the junction block that contains all the fuses/relays/plugs. The way you could verify that the wiring up to the bcm (from the wiper control) is working, before you go to the expense of replacing it, would be to locate the black plug on the bottom of the bcm (if you look under the junction block/bcm assembly you should see a gray connector and a black connector protruding from the underside of the bcm) and pull that plug, which is the one closer to the cowl. I believe you will find a dark green/yellow wire on pin #7 (from the wiper control) of the plug and a black/light green wire on pin #10 (ground). You may probe those wires with straight pins inserted thru the insulation so as to contact the internal conductor, then replace the plug (but make sure the straight pins don' touch oneanother), turn on the ignition switch to 'run', and measure the voltage between the two pins, you should find that the voltage will change proportionately as you cycle the wiper control through the six different positions of intermittancy. If not, then there is something the matter with the wiper control or its wiring. If the voltage is changing proportionately, then the manual does say to replace the bcm as the solution for that problem.

Front windshield wipers not working at all, however motor is good

Look at fuses if OK look for broken wire around wiper motor, check to assure power is getting to the wiper motor then check the motor.

Rear wiper motor not working

most likely the wiper motor is bad the second wire sould be a ground if you set meter to ohms you sould be able to get a low resistance to any good ground on the vehicle if the hot wire is hot any time key is on the bcm is controling the ground to operate moter and you should have a steady continuity on the ground side with switch on the fast postion an it will read on and off in the intermitant postion if both wires test good motor is bad when you replace motor let it cycle and shut it off before installing the arm on it

Rear wiper does not work at all. front wipers work fine. rear washer works

1. check the fuse to the rear wiper motor
2. check for power to rear wiper motor at the motor (power wire going in to the wiper motor with rear wiper switch on)
If you have good fuses & have power going in to the rear wiper motor...
3. Pull old rear wiper motor and install a new rear wiper motor.
Thank you please drive thru......
