You can drive it till it breaks of course, that will cost much more then replacing it as maintenance though. I would plan to have it changed much sooner then later as you are already past your recomended service time.

SOURCE: how to replace timing belt in 2001 santa fe. What

That depends on if the front motor mount is blocking half of the timing belt . Then you have to have the motor lifted out to change the timing belt . Now that just added at least another 2 hours to the labour hours. In all honesty, now you are looking at a 4 to 6 hours of total work . Now , do you know if it is a timing belt or a timing chain. Timing belt, yes will take about 4 to 6 hours , but a timing chain will take over 8 hours because it is inside the motor.

Do you want to replace the Go to belt yourself? Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.

SOURCE: 2003 Santa Fe, how much is a fair price to replace timing belt

What area are you in? My mechanic is getting ready to replace my timing belt on my 03 Santa Fe and said it would be $325. He said they used to switch out the water pump while they are doing the timing belt but Hyundai no longer recommends replacing the water pump unless its leaking. If he gets into it and the waterpump is leaking it will be an additional $120.

SOURCE: Cam Belt change

Hello mike_potts07: My name is Roger and I will answer your question. The suggested miles to change your timing belt is 60,000 miles. This is manufacturers recommended service interval. Also this motor is an interference motor. What that means is if the timing belt breaks. The valves in the head will be hit by the pistons. This will bend all valves that are open at that time.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. This way we can tell the information was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Should be about 150psi, did engine over heat, if so could be bad head gasket, also check make sure timing belt did not jump teeth, here's a diagram of timing belt mark's, maybe will help to check if timing belt jumped, hope this was very helpful.
