Maybe the actuators (electromagnetic) are going bad. I would try to replace that part first if there is intermittent or weak operation of power door locks.
The clip holding the rod from the handle to the lock has probably broken or come dislodged. If you remove the door panel you will be able to see if that's the problem.
remove inner door panel & check linkage to lower latch. if connected then watch linkage while moving handle, if linkage seems to bow or bend then lower lacth is frozen & needs to be replaced.
Your going to have to remove the inside door panel to get to the two screws that hold the door handle in place. Just make sure your windows are up so the window is not in the way to get to the two screws to un bolt the out side door handle. You can buy the replacement door handle from Auto Zone and buy extra door clips, since they always break. Auto Zone will have the step by step instructions to get the job done and it should take just under an hour, some band aids will be handy too. if they only stoped working on the passengers side I would check the wirring going into passengers side door for a broken wire, or right at the passengers side kick panel.
no matter what you do door panel has to come of if it is a two piece top and bottom better for you once it is off make sure window is up all the way disconnect handle rod most are held on with a lock clip from one of access holes in top of door then remove two mounting nuts on the handle bolts that come from the outside to the in the vhandle should come right out then have someone on the outside install handle threw door will you reinstall the two nuts on the threaded bolts on the inside reinstall rod to handle then door panel your done
