It could need fault codes erasing and defaults restoring with diagnostic equipment but the symptom you describe could equally be caused by the internal switch in one of the door catches that tells the brain the doors are closed.
If the brain doesn't receive a door closed signal from each door and the boot lid it will not allow the central door locking to operate.

I suggest you check the owner's handbook for user information and then reassure yourself all the doors are closing and correctly adjusted.
This is something freezing weather can affect.

Why wont my car boot wont open on my citren berlingo ?

Can you give a check to the micro switch that is connected to your boot lock?
If the catch gets stuck, open your drivers door, leave it open, reach across & press down the lock on the passenger front side. The locks will lock/ unlock themselves, because they sense a door is open. Repeat this action until you hear the boot unlock. Also, keep your battery well-charged.

2006 Jag xj, passengers door cannot be opened either from inside or outside. The inside door handle is in a "half cocked" position and I have tried all I can think of with combinations of Key...

I would confer with your Jag dealer on this one. Removing the door panel with the door closed is a real problem and they may have an easy fix without risking damaging anything. From what you say it sounds like the normal door release mechanism is not engaged but that the lock is. All I can suggest is to wind the window down and to do a combination waggling the 'half cocked' internal release handle back and forth whilst at the same time physically unlocking the door lock and/or using the central locking fob; press the door into the door jam at the same time to take pressure off the frame catch.

Left 1999 XK8 in garage over winter months. Battery discharged. Recharged and reconnected. Have started car 10-12 journeys, and each ignition sounded like the battery was getting weaker and weaker. Battery...

Yes batterys can come apart inside. The plate breakdown and drop into bottom not allowing charge anymore. Low charge can do alot of weird things to you jag. Replace the battery and when you do have them check alternator charging ability while your there. Almost all auto store will do this for free.

Cold morning driver door lock freeze

make sure the door handle on the outside has returned to normal position, sometimes the cold will make them stick. The door opens but the outside handle sticks open and the door won't latch. Hope this helps.

Flat battery

Get a set of jumper cables. Positive side of the battery goes to the + side or red. and negative goes to - or black. Do the same on the other car. let it charge for awhile before attempting to start
