My '97 1500, 5.2, 318 firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

The correct firing order for the engine is 1=8=4=3=6=5=7=2. Standing in front of the engine the right bank is odd numbered. and the left bank is even numbered. Also check to see if you are getting fuel to the carburator. Hope this will help you.

firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 cylinder placement is drivers side from front to back 1 3 5 7 passenger side from front to back 2 4 6 8 distributor rotation is clockwise. # 1 should be at about the 7 o'clock position on the cap. but if in duet as to were # 1 is on the cap remove the #1 spark plug and put your finger over the spark plug hole and have someone bump the engine over until the compression blows your finger off of the spark plug hole and then look at were the rotor is pointing that will be #1.
