There is a cancelation spring either metal or plastic that breaks and will cause this problem. also if the steering wheel is not centred it could be off enough that the signal will not be canceled by the spring as it won`t be pushed to the off position with the spring. it could also be a bad signal switch under the steering wheel.

Seems that whoever fitted Left Turn Signal, might have messed up some wireing ! If your starting problems started after you had turn signal fitted, the tell Worksop / Dealer who did your repair. If you had problems starting before Turn Repair, then take to Garage for investigation

It is possible that the clock spring was left unplugged or damaged while repairing the turn or multifunction switch.

I am thinking the turn signal switch has failed. I believe all these things are on the same lever. May be worth a try.

If you turn the signal to the left side does the right side stay on? Could be a bulb going bad or the turn signal switch.

My turn signals stay on

You have daytime runing lights. When you turn the signal off does it just stay on or does it flash? If it just stays on and you have some light dimming problems, it is more than likely a bad ground on the front signal sockets. This can be repaired by cleaning or replacing the sockets. Another cause of this problem can be traced to bad bulbs,a very easy fix.Good luck Moe
