SOURCE: where and how to change cabin filter chevy equinox

Hiya...the cabin air filter is located below the front passenger/windshield area.
It's only accessible by standing outside the Equinox with the hood open.
Here's how to do it...(before you pop open the hood)

1) Stand outside at the front-right door area.
2) Just below the front windshield area, pull up a few small black plastic clips that's on the black windshield wiper cowl area- a small flat screwdriver or a special clip-remover tool is handy.
3) Raise the hood up.
4) There may be a triangular-shaped hard foam sound damper at the left side nearby the hood hinge...pull it off if it allow you to work around it with ease.
5) Continue to find a few black plastic clips around the black windshield wiper cowl area.
6) Gently pull up the black windshield wiper cowl cover with care not to bend it too hard during removal.
7) You should see the cabin air filter inside that's held in place by a black rectangular box inside.
8) There's 2 black tabs that holds the cabin air filter in place.
9) Insert your finger or tool to pry the cabin air filter away from the tabs.
10) Remove old cabin air filter.

Remember to reinstall the clip parts back into place when you're finished.

SOURCE: Where is the transmission Fill plug on a 2005 chevy equinox?

There is no fill plug on transmission pans, you have to fill them from the
dipstick tube in the engine bay. Get a long funnel that will fit into the
dipstick tube hole, and then fill it that way. Make sure you turn the
vehicle on while filling it, and put it through all the gears, with your foot
on the brake. This will make sure your torque convertor is being properly
filled, along with the trans. Good luck.

Installing repair kit for hear acuator on 2006 equinox. ready to slide new part on cut shaft but seems to small around

I couldn't find anything related to the heat actuator replacement in the Equinox service manual but assuming you have bored out the hole by now to make it fit, I did find a calibration step that should be performed before touching anything in the heating, defrost and A/C section of air distribution. Here is a paste from the GM service manual;

Prior to or after any replacement of HVAC components including A/C compressor make sure to calibrate HVAC module using the following procedure.
1. - Calibrate the HVAC control by simultaneously depressing the A/C and re-circulation buttons three times in a period of less than two seconds, allow 15 seconds to complete calibration. Perform with ignition on.
2. - Verify A/C and re-circulation LEDs are flashing during calibration
3. - After calibration is complete, depress A/C or re-circulation button and make sure the LED state changes and all modes operate properly (if lit, LED will be off after button is cycled or vice-versa). If state does not change, follow published diagnosis.)

How I can unlock my radio 2005 Chevy Equinox

There is no hack. Only a GM dealer can program the security features of their OEM radios. Just one of the many things that manufacturers have to go through to dissuade auto theft and black market parting.

Radio stations

There is a radio option to recalibrate your touch screen. Please press the following three hard keys simultaneously RADIO/MEDIA, SEEK UP, NAV (AUDIO on REN). Once you begin to recalibrate the touch screen you must finish. Audio confirmation prompts are provided for each of the three points of calibration, one beep for the first, two for the second and three for the third. The calibration needs to be precise as possible and a PDA stylus would be recommended. The MyGIG radio requires the user to repress each calibration point to confirm the calibration process. A green crosshair indicates proper calibration.You must not start with the "+" but with the "+1", then goto "+2" and last to "+". Repeat this until all crosses are green and exit with pushing the menue or any other key. Done

2007 equinox blows only hot air when vehicle is very hot.

It may actually be possible that the damper is sticking due to heat based deformity until air flow of any type purges the excessive heat.

That could be due to a manufacturing defect or worn hinge points.

You may get a better feel for how the dampers are working by calibrating the HVAC control;

1. With ignition ON and engine not running, press AC and Recirc 3 times in under 2 seconds
2. Verify AC and Recirc LEDs flash, wait 15 seconds for the re-calibration to complete, you may hear the damper doors cycling while calibration occurs. If audible movement is heard, listen that no dragging occurs during that movement
3. Once calibration is complete, press the AC and Recirc buttons to see the LEDs change
4. If LEDs don't change after their buttons are pressed, take the vehicle to the local dealer for electrical diagnosis
5. If dragging of the damper doors is heard, that may be the root of the possible sticking in hot weather.
Have the dealer or other competent mechanic check those dampers

06 equinox blowing cold air

First, recalibrate the air handler by the following procedure;
From the Equinox Service Manual
1. With the ignition on, simultaneously press the A/C and Recirc buttons, 3 times in less than 2 seconds
2. Verify that the A/C and Recirc LEDs are flashing, Wait 15 seconds for calibration to complete
3. After calibration is complete, press the A/C and Recirc buttons to verify proper LED tracking to function selected

If this does not correct the air handling issue, have the nearest dealership diagnose possible loose electrical connections , broken air dam doors, etc.

Best of luck.
