Either the fan is burned up or, you have a heat sensor that sends a signal to the fan motor not working.

Fan is not kicking on, have tested fan and works ok, is there a sending unit or something else I'm not checking |? 2001 neon 2.1 liter [email protected]

Yes there is a coolant temp sensor that goes bad from time to time this is what tells the ecu to turn on the fans so therefore its telling the ecu the car is not hot. This is normally located either on the radiator or somewhere close to the thermostat.

Cooling fan kicks on when start of vehicle, the temperature gauge wont read a temp, just stays at "cool". fans shut off when car is turn off.

PCM is probably not getting a signal from the temp sensor, so it's kicking the fans on just in case. Check connector on sensor. If connector is OK, replace sensor. The sensor is mounted on the thermostat housing near the end of the upper radiator hose. See picks of a couple engine examples below. The part is only $11 at autozone.com, and a pic is pasted below. Let me know if you have any questions.

If you have done this already, then bleed the cooling system, this is all you lack, just get the air out of the system, two bleed ports, one on the thermostat housing, and one on the engine near the water pump, just bleed them out as the car warms up,the thermostat bleeder last,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Fan not coming on with or without aircondition and

Engine fan will only kick in when engine is hot and needs extra help in cooling down, If it doesn't come on so long as engine temp remains ok i shouldn't worry about it too much..

I have a 1994 Mercedes E320. My blower fan doesn't work.

The "strip" fuse is in a tootsie roll sized black container on the drivers side strut mount. pop it open and there it is. 2 philips screws hold it in place. Breaks in the fuse are not easy to see.
