Get a can of WD-40? Spray hinges. Done. Don't get it on your paint. Cover the surrounding spray area first.

Does this happen when your driving or just opening and closing the trunk? iwould inspect the torsion bars in either case to see if they are properly positioned, they are locate inside the trunk below the package shelf{where 3rd brake is}move the lid up and down and see if you get any squeaks, please dont try to remove them their dangerous and they support the trunk lid

I have a 1993 subaru legacy l sedan, somebody tried to break into my trunk and now the release wont work.

You can get to it by the back seats. They have releases at the base of the headrests, just pull them out. They are on small metal pins and sometimes the pulleys come out, so you might have to use pliers. Hope this helps!

How to fix the torque bar located in the trunk lid

You need to position the spring with the bushing on it against the hinge and set it into the slot just under the panel behind your backglass. On the opposite side, pull the end into say the middle hole for starters and make sure it is seated completely. Do the same for the other side, open the trunk and make sure it stays open, if not you can adjust it by moving your torsion springs to the next hole.

I have a 2007 subaru legacy. it has 17000 miles im having a problem with heating.. when i turn the heat on only driver side blows hot. the pessenger side blows cold even when i turn it on to the winshield...

The air is mixed and routed inside the dash by some flaps. In your case the flap that regulates the mixing of hot and cold air for the passenger side is broken or stuck in the cold position.
The only way to fix that is to remove the dash , access the air system and fix the flap.

Trunk problem

Rust builds up on the handle on the outside. A few small drops of oil usually will allow it to return to the proper position. Hope this helps and have a great day.

The DRL light stands for Daytime Running Lights.
It will not hurt anything by driving the car.
I am not sure that it is even broken, does it go off when you turn the lights on?
