Could be in the electronics box under the right side engine cover or in the vicinity of the glove box (behind or over).

Where is the airbag control module located in a 2008 ford explorer eddie bauer edition

The control module is behind the dash to the left of the radio. Remove the two screws underneath the radio, this will allow the dash panel to snap out. You can now see the module. Open the rear hatch, look to the left panel under side window, you will find the module behind it.

Whereis the air bag module located

Modules are usually under the center console. Sensors are located in many different spots. Ones on the radiator core support, under the plastic piece. Ones under the front seats. Ones at the center column, just behind the front seats, and rollover sensors. I haven't found them yet.

The module that it is talking about is probably the air bag control module under the dash, not the airbag itself. These are known to go bad from time to time. These modules have thermal fuses inside them that can go bad. I'm not sure about the 98, but on the 92-95 models this module is behind the kick panel in the passenger side floorboard. I would start there. Once you locate the module, take it with you and head to your local salvage or junk yard. That will be the cheapest way to replace it.
