the complete lower section of the dashboard must be stripped down including the glovebox , center of dash front and the center console i would remove the front seats to give more space to work
I don't think you have to remove the seats. However any nuts, bolt or screws you remove you'll need to keep in case you're replacing the console.
Open the console and at the bottom you'll find two Phillips head screws.
Look at the front of the console, beneath the radio. Next to the coin holder area, is four bolts. Remove the four bolts with a ratchet.
Look at the center part of the console. There are two Phillips-head screws. Remove these with a Phillips screwdriver.
Pull the console upward to unhook it from the floorboard. Remove it from the Ranger. With the console removed, you'll see the mounting brackets for the console and the nuts the screws and bolts go into. It is not necessary to remove these brackets when replacing the console.
Move the replacement console into the cabin. Line up the console with the mounting brackets on the floorboard. The console screw and bolt holes should be lined up with the mounting bracket's nuts.
Hold the console firmly in place with hand. Insert and tighten the two Phillips-head screws in the console storage compartment, and then insert and tighten the four bolts at the front part of the console. Insert and tighten the two Phillips-head screws in the center of the console.
There is a blend door actuator broken its what switches the air flow from floor to vent to defroster. It's a real pain in the *** to replace under dash and depending on what one is broken glove box or maybe center console must be removed
