run the fault codes and look for cam/crank position sensors.
faulty or loose connections may cause this fault. If you have more than 1 key in the ignition then it has been known that the mass of swinging keys will switch off the ignition
(current recall on all GMC ignition switches for just this reason)
You'll need to find out what code the computer sends to repair the system first. A diagnostic meter will tell you that. Once the system is repaired, the same meter will reset the light.
hi i am not 100% sure but i think it is the P11 144 gearbox its used with the almera qg15de engine. i think it is also used in a primera and almera tino of the same years.
