High pressure car washes can get water into electrical components, and can damage parts which are still very hot (coils, etc). Try drying everything electrical and see what you get. If still no start, run usual troubleshooting, such as check for spark to plugs, fuel delivery, etc.
i did that, and it still will not crank, could i have busted a head when i sprayed it off
If it was blazing hot, perhaps but unlikely. Are you getting spark to plugs? If not, parts such as coils, crank and cam sensors can be damaged by spraying when hot, but you know they get rain on them, so more likely water has gotten into somewhere unusual. If this engine has a distributor cap, remove and dry the inside. Might you have soaked the air filter?
i might have soaked the air filter do i need to dry that out??
Yes, or remove it for test purpose.
ok thanks very much

when it comes to DC electricity like on automobiles. DC current wants a really good connection. check and make sure the wires at the alternator you just installed are tight. check the tightness of the battery cable connections at the battery. check the tightness of the main cable that goes straight to the starter. small things like the dome lights ect.... will still work many times when the connection is not so good, but big current items like the starter need a good hard connection to work. sometimes when the connection is sub par, the starter will just make a clicking noise but wont turn over the engine.

The dealer is right a faulty crankshaft position sensor indeed causes the exact symptoms you have, replace that 1st.
