SOURCE: Adding coolant to a 1998 Jaguar XK8

if the coolant light is on or comes on when driving you MUST let the car cool down at lest 1 hour before doing anything, after this cool down time lift the hood [u.s.a.] or bonnet [uk] looking from the front of the car on the right hand side towards the back of the engine compartment is the coolant header tank, about 5inch square black in color [u.s.a.] colour [uk] with a large screw top and some rubber pipes coming from it,this should be topped up with coolant right to the neck of the screw cap when you remove the cap to top up the coolant unscrew it slowly as it may be under pressure you don't want hot 212F[u.s.a.] 100C [uk] coolant in your face do you.good luck.

SOURCE: were is the 2004 Jaguar x type electric radiator fans relay at?

I don't know where it is; however, my husband and I have purchased 2 cooling fan assemblies for my 2004 Jaguar x-type 3.0 AWD. Neither of them would turn on. We have since been advised by a Jag mechanic that you must have a part called the link lead in order for the fans to work properly. This is a non-admitted (by Jaguar) default in this car. Check Quality Auto Parts 800-505-5838, ext. 1047 and ask for AMY. Hope this helps Nancy

Need to find location of coolant fan relay and sensor for 1990 pontiac sunbird ?

if your rad coolant fan is not working check the fan itself as this is a common problem on these cars. disconnect the plug from the fan motor and run jumper wires directly from battery to the fan motor terminals. if the fan doesn`t run replace fan motor. if it does run the check fuses then fan relay. the relay is in the relay box, the coolant sensor for the fan motor is in the head that goes into a coolant passage that has a 2 wire connector.

Cooling fans dont engage! 1998 oldsmobile silhouette!

Your Problem Can VERY WELL BE with the Temp Sensor, As It Is the First in This Electrucal Circut . it Waits for 210-230 Degree Engine temp and Gives that Sygnal to the ECM then ECM Grounds out the Cooling FAN RELAY To Turn ON the FANS and the Temp Sensor is Usualy THE #1 Culpret Closley in front of the RELAY.
There are 2 Sensors On this Vehicle The One You Replaced and One Located At Trans Side of
Engine Closer to Front of Vehicle At the Head ,Thereis a 2 wire Plug On it and This Sensor Goes to the ECT witch CONTROLS COOLING FAN RELAY. Hope this Helps and if you Need A Diagram For this It Must be Emailed as FixYa Does NOT Support Large Picture Files. My Email Add. Is MY

1998 corvette water temp get up to 225 to 230 befor fan come on. where are the cooling fan control sencors located, not the relays

Fan wires go to relay, than after relay, they go to engine temperature sensor located on the side of the block. There is another sensor usually attached to thermostat housing. This would be coolant temp sensor. You can test both sensors with an ohmmeter or multi-meter

Radiator fans not working 1998 dodge caravan

First thing I would check is the fuse or the fan relay, located in the power distribution box under the hood. If that's not the problem, then I would find the coolant temperature sensor, unplug it with the key on and the fans should run.

Coolant temperature relay switch

Most vehicles use a coolant temperature sensor which is located near the thermostat directly connected into the coolant line, or near the thermostat housing, there are relays for the cooling fan which is usually located in the power distribution box under the hood.

Ac on max fan switch on high and neither coolant fans come on

Check relays (usually un.derhood) first See owner manual for location. Then check engine coolant temperature sensor. If it's not providing high temp signal, the fans won't come on. However, the fan usually comes on when a/c is engaged. Leaing towards relays
