Diesel particle filter keeps blocking - 2007 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 Sedan

Diesel injection equipment requires a high degree of precision to reliably work at such high pressures and give a long life and the fuel must have a similar high degree of precision. The fuel must be free of water and other contaminants and particles, therefore most diesel systems include a prefilter, a sedimenter and a very good main filter.
Heavy duty filtration can have a prefilter, at least two main filters and and two sedimenters.

A diesel system does have an inline filter but not in the typical way of petrol engines. The inline filter of a diesel is generally a fairly large replaceable element filter usually situated in the engine compartment, usually incorporates a sediment bowl and often includes a water detector and sometimes a heater.

try changing the filters for the fuel or check the exhaust particle filters for blockage ( blocked exhaust system)

this is not referring to the diesel fuel filter. it is referring to the DPF Diesel particulate filter which is located in the exhaust system.
to unblock it you need to make a 40min journey at or over 2500 rpm
(50 mph in 4th gear) this is known as a regeneration run.it brings the DPF up to around 400 degrees which burns out the old soot particles this is a normal process during normal driving but too many short /slow trips can cause a blockage in the filter

Hi need help contact me [email protected] iv got an additive I used when I had a car with a DPF and not once did I have any problems and most of my driving was stop start & short trips town driving and once a month a run on the motorway I bought a lot of the additive but changed my car as it was 3 years old

Keep a Bannian cloth or a spoonz in the filter to avoid the impurities entering your diesel tank. You can avoid maximum impurities using this simple idea.
