1:stock radio. end to end, we cant guess this ever.
my wild guess is the rear speaker wires are shorting out and
the smart amp, is detecting it and not blowing self up but shuts it down. (some radios do other smoke)

if it's like my son in laws,car , all the audio is custom and wired

It's probably computer related, so it's too bad your co-pilot wasn't a trained monkey-wrencher who just happened to have a good quality scanner plugged in, flipping through various live stream data screens...he could have seen it happening and hit "freeze frame" function on the scanner. Then could retrieve that and see all processes like 30 seconds before, and 30 seconds after pressing the freeze frame button. Watching the action of all sensors and controlling switches that the computer controls or gets input from, might help to isolate the problem. In closing, and only partly in jest, don't let the boys at ford take you for a ride. Go hire an independent mechanic and take him for a ride.

You have thrown a code and need to have the computer scanned. it will tell you what has gone wrong and then you should know what to do. Most autoparts stores will read your codes for free.
Likely there is water contamination but if I was you i'd check my oil level and make sure those monkeys put the caps back on the oil filler tubes.

heres a project ,design some software that can be used with OBDII to unlock the factory immobiliser .the reason i ask is that europeon cars are now using encrypted software which is making things for general mechanics like myself practically impossible to earn a living.Some new cars i cant evan change the oil without the immobiliser cutting in,and as for the professional tools at 4800€ they cant evan touch a motor from 2007 especially renault and VW,post results on sourceforge.net ,where you can find some projects being worked on.6yrs at college and iam being reduced to a glorified grease monkey with these new cars ,feel like iam being bullied by a load of bill gates look alikes.
