I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited, 3.7 L, that occasionally will not start while in park. There are no noises when I turn the key, but have full electrical power. When this happens, I will put it in neutral and it will start with no problems. Could it be a starter relay problem, or issues with my TRS? Please help! ??

SOURCE: wont start

There's only 2 more things that I can think of, check the fuse for the ignition, then the computor itself, you did everything else.It might be the problem and may not.

Sounds like the neutral safety switch is faulty. Slamming the shifter into Park has temporarily solved the condition for some, but the switch may have to be replaced.

SOURCE: Key won't turn in 2002 Jeep Liberty, can't start.

put the key in the ignition and tap the key farther into the cylinder and turn. should work. seems like a chrysler problem! a handy tow truck driver showed me this solution last night. you can have the cylinder replaced if this keeps happening or just keep a handy-dandy whacking object in your center console for just such an occassion!

2004 Jeep Liberty. No Start. Does anyone have any ideas?

That is a whole lot of issues that needs an auto electrician and a pro grade scan tool computer. We have a pro electrician here @Jeff Armer and hopefully he will chime in. Sounds like a communication issue with BCM and ECM which I think is combined into a TIPM.

My 2004 Jeep Liberty goes in park but still rolls back.

It is a known issue and a fairly easy fix according to this, or you can get a transmission place to do it.

Need to know what caused the overheating, possible broken serpentine belt, thermostat, water pump, radiator, fan clutch, cooling fan motor. After motor has cooled down fill radiator with water till full, look make sure serpentine belt not broke, start engine run about 5 minutes, turn off, let sit 3 minutes, start engine look at temperture gauge is it over half way of gauge, Do you have a fan blade driven by water pump or electric fans?

My jeep Liberty starts fine when the car is cold. Once the car warms up, if the car is turned off, it will not start, not even a click, until the car cools back off ( about 3 hours). Could you tell me what...

Can't tell you without being there but check the starter relay and all connections at battery, starter and grounds both on engine and fender. Check with a test light or volt meter (Meter is better because it will show power drop off if any) Test with key in run position and in start position as well. Don't forget there is a neutral safety switch that can also fail so check in park and neutral also.

2004 Liberty will not start

the solution for your problem is your starter went out. the price for a used starter will run at about 50 to 100 dollars and for a new starter it will run at about 150 to 175 dollars.
