There was a recall done on those vehicles in 2008 for the same issues. Something about a clock spring. If the recall work has not been done on your SUV, bring it to a dealer.
Most likely a fuse. If your fuse box is labeled it will say radio under the fuse. If its not check your owners manual for location of fuse box and radio fuse.
This sounds like you did all the correct checksand that the clock is bad and is time to replace it, thelcd screen sounds like its bad, i would go to a junk yard and just get another one and pop it in , good day.

Beside the digital clock must be 2 switches, one is for hours and the other is for minute, if it is not when the time is 12:00 take out the clock fuse and enter it again the time will be automatic 12:00.
The clock fuse is under stearing wheel.
