Only one brake light on drivers side in back every thing else is working fine

Generally these are dual filament auto globes. One filament for the tail light and the other for the brake. Need to replace this globe. If you provide make, model and year of manufacturer of car in the comments field someone can provide more details of the globe etc.

Why wont the brake lights shine when pressing the brake pedal but the tail lights are working on the same bulb

test the brake light switch located at the brake pedal, disconect the switch & bridge the wires, turn ignition on if you have lights its a faulty switch (very common on ford falcons) if not check you have power at that plug, if power check the globes cause you could have blown globes as they are twin filiment globes (1 globe but 2 lights tail & brake) & the brake filiments might be blown.

Brake lights work but tail lights won't work with front lights which are needed at night on 2000 Chevy Malibu! When inspected, everything was fine until inspector changed my left tail light. Now tail...

The Tail lights and Instrument lights are usually on the same circuit so both will go out if the fuse for the circuit blows. Check for a blown fuse for this circuit and replace if out. If fuse continues to fail, check the tail light or side globes for a faulty globe and replace if necessary. Also check for any chafed wires that could be shorting to the body causing the fuse to blow.

Toyota Corolla 2006; Dash lights not working and tail lights not working. Checked all small fuses under the hood and under the steering wheel inside the car. I don't know which fuse engages the tail...

I had the same issues. Dash dead, tail lights dead. Fuses were fine, Dimmer relay was fine...So I got to the Tail Light Relay.

Removed the glove box, one screw on the right. Reach up (above the space where the glove box 'area' would be and there are 3 or 4 relays all sitting on top of a junction box. All of them were loose. I pushed them in...and voila! I was getting scared after the obvious.

My tail lights are out. I even replaced with new bulbs. Brake Lights go on only when brake is applied

Have you check your fuses ? There is a tail light fuse. you will find fuse information in your owners manual.

Right brake light out; tail light works fine

most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine
