I have a 1993 caprice classic.. i have replaced my themostate twice already, but it is not going any further then an 1/8th. what can i do? What does INFL. Rest means, my light flashes on and off}?

Have your radiator cap pressure checked...this can affect the circulation and cooling...a free test at your auto parts store...The flashing INFL REST refers to the inflatable restraint system...this air bag check should light up when starting...but go out after a few seconds...Your front sensor may be dirty or frozen due to the weather? Spray, and clean off with some BP Blaster...available at most parts stores...(including Wal-mart)...Hope this helps.

What does the INFL REST light mean? it flashes then stays on for a while

The INFL REST light means the "Inflatable Restraint" .Any time the light illuminates, a code is stored within the Central Control Module (CCM). That's your Airbag light. It stands for Inflationary Restraint. It should blink 5 times then go off. If it stays on there is a problem.Get the car scanned for codes before replacing any part.At www.autozone.com its absolutely free to get car scanned to get codes. Keep updated for more queries.Thanks.

I have a INFL-REST LIGHT THAT STAYS ON ALL TIME WHAT'S GOING ON THANK YOU. I don't know what it means it usually comes on wen you turn the key and goes out after car has started.

That is the air bag light. It should either blink or light for a few seconds upon starting the car and then go out. If it's staying on then there is an issue with the airbag system. These lights will usually throw a trouble code as well so if you can get hold of a scanner see what code you have. Most likely a sensor is bad.

Infl rest light flashing no fuel

Your Infl. Rest. Light is supposed to flash 7-9 times when you turn the ignition on or when you start the engine, It should then go off. If it is constantly flashing or comes on and stays on, You have a problem with your airbags and they will not function in a crash. It is unrelated to your fuel issue.
