Answer #1 by Thomas is correct. To answer your other question, you can look up any relevant recalls at the web address below. Enter your vehicle information and you can view all recalls as well as service bulletins.
Have your VIN number handy to verify your Aztek is in the range of the vehicles listed. If you don't know where to locate the VIN, it is on your vehicle registration or you can look through the drivers side windshield in the lower corner from outside of the car.
Good luck.

Hi! Matt, Most likely if the anti-lock brake light and the awd disable light come on at the same time a wheel bearing / wheel speed sensor assembly is faulty.Listen for a humming noise when driving and try to determine where it is coming from(left/right/front/ back) or any looseness/play in any wheel. That's the possible bearing/wheel speed sensor causing the problem. Or have the abs system scanned to determine which wheel sensor is reading incorrectly. If the awd disable light is off then the awd system should be funtioning.

Awd disable light and anti lock light on

It could be a wheel bearing as the speed sensor for the abs is located in the bearing

I have a 2004 Pontiac Aztek. The AWD Disable and Anti Lock lights are on and it doesn't want to accelerate? Anyone know or have had this problem?

The AWD Disable and Anti Lock lights can result from a bad wheel bearing as well as a bad speed sensor. They'll also come on if you have the spare tire on. Not sure if the acceleration problem is linked to the warning lights. Most car part stores have scanners they can check out the problem.

Grinding noise when stoping or braking and light is is on for AWD on 2004 pontiac aztec

If you have not had your brakes checked over in the past 9 months you may need them to be "skimmed". Take your car to your local garage and see what they can do. This can be a serious problem and may cause braking faliure.

Anti-lock n AWD

Call the dealership. I seem to remember that Pontiac had a recall for this problem just recently where the antilock brake system would lock op and the system caused people to get into accidents. This is a manufacture defect
