Car won't crank, key stuck in ignition?

Car sat for about a week. I tried to start it and very little juice. Key then stuck and would not come out of ignition. Tried to jump car with portable jumper. Charged the battery with small charger for 3 hours. Didn't hold a charge. Figured dead battery would fix all of the issues. Replaced battery and tried to start, no luck - no crank, key still stuck. Wires to floor shifter intact, not stressed or broken. Car won't crank, key stuck in ignition, no brake lights, no interior lights, no electronic doors. Chect fuses and relays in fuse box under hood. Removal of ignition switch next?

Depends on the car. Could be an immobilizer if your car has a security system.

Anti theft light come on and car won't start. how do I fix this problem

What you have is a jammed key tumbler... Its not easy and it may require a little muscle but are going to have to beat on the steering wheel column until the tumblers loosen and fall down. What I did to solve the problem with my same model was with a screwdriver and I stuck it in the pin punch hole located directly under the key ignition( looks like a screw hole) and I jutted at the cylinder and turned the key at the same3 time until it finally turned. Took about 30 mins but it worked. Hope this is helpful....

Stuck eldorado key in DTS ignition now car won't start

Make sure your steering wheel isn't locked. Sometimes a key won't turn until you jiggle the wheel while trying to turn the key.

Car wont start..after i stuck wet keys in ignition

Give the key-hole a few days to dry out. There are electronics inside the key-hole that sense the key's position and the immobilizer chip within the key. If these short out, or any other circuits with them, the car won't start/run properly.

2005 Altima won't start, hear clicking sound coming from fuse box,key stuck in ingintion, won;t turn over, tried to jump start.

the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad.

Key stuck in ignition and car won't start

I assume you have tried jiggling the steering wheel to free up the interlock. If all else fails you will have to remove the key cylinder and replace it.

Key stuck in igntion.

Put the battery on charge or jump it. Basically it's locked in because of the lack of juice.
