Re: 1988 Ford Bronco fuel injection system isn't getting...
I had a similar problem that ended up being the fuel pump relay located in the engine compartment on the drivers side next to the air box. there will be at least 2 relays, the fuel pump one is black and brown. check that first.

but I had similar troubles due to cold start valve...
Whatever FI emulates a choke...
I'm assuming you have fuel injection....
ROCKAUTO shows both Carby & Fuel Injection options...
but your symptoms are pointing to FI... (see below).
Check out your diagnostic capabilities to see if you have any TROUBLE CODES...
then start with the cold start (air?) valve ... then
onto the injectors themselves
(if equipped)
((Just sounds VERY FAMILIAR))..

Hello, why type of fuel do you use? You could have water in your fuel??. If you
are living where the weather is very hot and your having to buy fuel with
alcohol 10% or more don't buy this type of fuel. Your 1988 Ford Bronco II is
carburetored, and the alcohol will start boiling causing vapor locking this Ford
Bronco II. One reason is that early model used an open fuel system and none
injectors. With the alcohol additive will low the boiling point of the fuel
causing it to boil away; therefore, carburetor can't operate on fuel vapors it
has to be liquid. GB...stewbison
2 reason
