My 2005 vw touareg key is faulty - the key running low

Tried changing my ignition key battery and it shows some light but when point to vehicle it runs dead and not working

U MUST REPROGRAMM THE REMOTE.TRY IGNITION ON AND OFF TAKE THE KEY OUT AND LOCK .DOORS CLOSED!! IF NOTHING HAPPENS U MIGHT NEED TO ORDER A KEY.....

2006 vw new beetle tdi wont start or even try to crank. gage lights are on.

1. Could be faulty key/flat key battery not disabling the security system
Solution - Try your spare key and see if that works

2. Could be low battery - check battery voltage (Lights are LED and will run on super low voltages)

3. Ignition switch failures are super common on VW's. But you need to check the other 2 first.

The light is telling you that there is a problem in the engine management system. Have the fault codes read and fix the faulty sensor/servo

yes the pump will start but it wont hurt it,,,and you only need side lights to tow a car,,,unless your in it then you need brake lights as well, but you wont hurt the fule pump ok,
