Generally considered when discussing trailers, what is the capacity of a trailer? It is only as good as its weakest link. One factor is definitely how much bending moment the axle can handle.

We have a plating certificate for Iveco for Gross weight 26000 with different weights on each Axle. It has a crane. How do we work out how much load can be on?

it works out as 10 ton , 10 ton and 6 ton on the front axle
there may be variations between state regulations so best talk with the relevant authority
Bill of material that was used by the manufacturer to make the vehicle will have the load ratings for each axle so talk with customer relation s direct by phone to get a copy of that engineering specification

Recommended tyre pressure

I would be running at 28-30psi for this set up. If you are carrying extra load in the van up to 32 psi.

Does anyone know how many average size bluestones one coould put into the aluminum tray of a 1992 Rodeo. Or what the caring weight of this tray might be.

weigh a sample of your average bluestones and divide that into 1000kgs (1ton) and by spreading the stones all over the tray that will be the total number that you can carry. So if you average weight is 10 lbs (5 kgs) then you could fit 200 stones on the tray. If you cannot weigh the stones because of size then load the tray until the distance between the axle bump stop and axle has decreased by half . This will be within the load limit . Any more and you can be considered overloaded.

Leaking brake fluid from block in rear it is attached to the frame and connected to rear axle with a spring what is this block called I need to replace please help

it is the rear proportioning valve that adds more rear braking as loads are put in the van.

It is about $350, Usually it is just the rusted lines. You can heat the lines carefully at the fittings to break them loose.

93-05 uses a valve with double flare fittings. 96-02 uses ISO (bubble flare) fittins. Otherwise the same.
I can get at discount if you really need one. 93-95 are obsolete now.

I am getting a knocking sound from my left front axle. Would it be a CV joint or is the axle a one piece replacement

replace the whole axle. it's not very much more money , and most carry a lifetime warranty so if you cut a boot you get a new one. most places don't even carry the joints anymore.

What are the best jack points for my '94 Jeep grand cherokee?

Best place for jack is under the end of the axle tube, just before trailing arm attachment point. This will lift axle and tire without extending the suspension. This also depends upon what the ground is like where vehicle is parked. If ground under axle is soft, you can place the jack under the chassis to avoid having the jack fall over or sinking in. Or, if you can, move to more solid ground. What's more important is where not to put the jack...never place it where a suspension arm is attached, on a suspension arm that will change angle as it is going up, on a floorboard or anywhere it will crush a brake or fuel line. If you travel where ground is usually soft, carry a 1" thick 20x20 square of plywood (I carry same made from 1/2" steel. Use it under the jack to spread the load). Though "factory" jack will do the job, I suggest you invest in a halfway decent floor jack with a locking pin (a bit more reliable and safer)

Where is the brake load sensing valve on a Toyota Previa and where is it.?

brake load sensor valves are normally mounted on either the diff or the body above the rear axle
they are designed to open or close, depending on how much weight you are carrying, and let more or less oil to the back brakes

Three Broker Axles in 10K miles.

the shaft? it would mean that the outer end of the shaft was locked and the engine was supplying power to the inner end. very unusual. especially from a stop.

go here and ask our team & we will all mull it over. Are they all remanufactured axles? I am a retired Ford engineer and have only come across twisted drive shafts. I'll think about what could do this. Which engine mount?
