Horrible Idle, Then Engine stalls

Im tired, running out of money, annoyed, and bothered by this POS car,

The dang thing starts just fine, but as it sits and idles, the idle goes up and down, and gets worse until it shuts off.

So far i have replaced :

- Spark Plugs
- Spark Plug Wires
- Coil Wire
- Fuel Filter
- Distributor Cap & Rotor
- I.A.C Valve ( Idle Air Control Valve)

I have ran it nearly out of gas, and ran 10 gallons of gas with a 20 gallon rated fuel injector cleaner through it....about 2 times now.

I changed the oil, and oil filter....

......I spent $500 on the car.....

and if i keep going like this, ill spend the same amount to get it to run....

ran fine when i bought it a month ago...

all of a sudden...

its running like this.

PLEASE!! SOMEONE HELP ME!

I forgot to mention that when i get it going (very difficult because it stalls) it runs just fine....however it does seem to lack some power....

but it runs without sputtering, if i cram it to the floor....

Rough idle & stalling at a stop

This maybe due to a dirty Idle Air control valve or a throttle position sensor. YouTube can provide good answers for removal and testing of the Throttle Positon Sensor (TPS) as well as cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC)

Stalls after start up, Stalls when braking, then runs fine after a few minutes

If it stalls when the brake lights come on then the idle is too slow. The high amps of the lights will load down the engine and lowers the idle.

Sometimes that's caused by a vacuum leak near the manifold area.

Sometimes air in the coolant will cause an idle problem. Air will keep the air temp sensor from sending proper info.
Hope this helps.

High low idle, rough idle stalling

If it's surging, make sure your radiator is full. Do a tune up, plugs, wires, etc. Put some fuel injector cleaner in your fuel tank. On a cold start the vehicle compensates for being cold by adding fuel. Once it warms up the computer tells it to quit adding extra fuel. If it is a bad sensor of sorts, check engine light should come on.

Timing check

Ignition timing would not change with the engine temp.
I'm going to assume the check engine light is not on when the engine is running, otherwise you would have checked the computer for trouble codes. And I'm sorry you dumped so much money in parts trying to fix it before troubleshooting it first.
The two things that come to mind based on your description are low fuel pressure or a problem with the EGR valve. Did the friend check base fuel pressure with the engine cold and warmed up ?

Why does my 99 pontiac grand prix gtp supercharge keep stalling

I would check the idle air control valve before replacing anything.
The computer regulates the idle speed by controlling the amount of air entering the intake thru the throttle body.
The valve could be faulty, or the throttle body can be gummed up.
Is the check engine light on ?
