Need to remember that air rises. When replacing slave cylinder first hook everything up and bleed using the nut on the connecting line at the slave, then slowly depress and release pedal making sure to keep plenty of fluid in the reservoir, then after sitting a bit, tap on slave cylinder, line from bottom all the way up to the master, then loosen the nut connecting the line to the master and allow any air there to escape. Repeat whole process if needed.

I need to bleed my clutch for 2002 Ford escort zx2. But I dont know where the bleeder screw is! Is it under the hood or under driver seat by clutch pedal??

Some ford manual transmissions have a internal slave cylinder and the bleeder screw is located on top of the transmission just behind the bell houseing. FYI also, you cant bleed a clutch system using the same process as you would to bleed the brake system!

Where is the bleed value on a clutch slave cylinder on a 95 GMC PU

on the hose end of the cylinder or the highest point in the line
if the slave cylinder is inside the bell housing , there will be a bleed screw on the side of the bell housing

How do I bleed a 2008 Nissan X Trail 6-speed dual clutch?

if it has an external slave cylinder , bleed it at the bleed screw
If it has a composite slave cylinder( one that is inside the bell housing) there will be a bleed screw attached to the outside of the housing on on the end of a hose on the outside of the bell housing.
either way bleeding process is the same for an external slave cylinder.

I replaced a slave cylinder on my 2000 Ford F250 diesel truck now I can't get the air to bleed off. A mechanic friend said to keep pumping the clutch but that doesn't help

Hi, if you didn't bench-bleed the slave, it can have trapped air away from the bleeder. What I do is to bleed the slave by pushing the cylinder in with the bleeder open (close the bleeder before releasing the piston). Depending on the type of slave, you can usually get a screwdriver between the clutch lever and the piston to compress it. You need to compress it fully to get the bubbles out of the bleeder port. OK?

Replaced Clutch, master cylinder and slave cylinder on my 85 F250 diesel. The truck shifts ok when it is cold, once it warms up it wont shift using the clutch. you have to use RPMs to make it shift. I...

these are very hard to bleed, also check your fire wall for damage where the clutch master bolts up. another thing is take a good look at the clutch pedal asm, the frame sometimes wears and cracks so you loose a little pedal travel.another thing is a bad preasure plate, spring breaks on plate,

1996 f250 5 speed manual. Clutch must be to the floor before I can get it into gear. Is this normal?

No, your clutch is controlled by a slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. Check your clutch master cylinders fluid level first, if its high, your clutch is starting to wear down. Next, on the bottom of your transmission there will be an inspection cover, remove and check with a suitable flashlight if the clutch slave cylinder is leaking, if so, replace both clutch master cylinder and cslave cylinder. Stay away from slave cylinders that you have to build yourself such as those at autozone! Bleeding of these components will be required.
