Hi Johan
jack up the the side you want to work on,now look at the back of the wheel on the dust plate there is or should be a small grommet or rubber bung on the plate, remove this bung and using a torch look inside you should see something that looks like a small cog or gear its a bit awkward to see inside as its a small hole, using a flat head screw driver insert it into the hole where the cog is making sure to get it into the teeth of the cog and push down on the screw driver handle this should rotate the cog and adjust the brake shoes inside the drum, spin the wheel now and then to make sure it is not grabbing if you over adjust it, it will stop the wheel spinning freely, you need to get it so there is a slight drag on the wheel as you spin it, once you have this rotate it in the opposite direction once and that should be perfect for you, and just do the same with the other side.
NOTE if you find nothing is happening, try rotating it in the opposite direction until it starts to grab you will notice this when you spin the wheel.
Hope that help

Re 2008 Ford Territory TX.... A clunk when first starting off. Ford say it's the ABS and cannot be fixed. Can you help me. Tnanks Geoff

Best I can offer. If you feel a clunk when letting of the brakes and in gear, best to look at engine mounts. Brakes on, engine has torque applied. Left off the brakes, the engine rests back down in position. This would only happen if the rubber in the mounts were gone. the only possible thing I can think of with the brakes are the calipers are loose. Dealer ship should have found this. You might want to look at another shop.

2006 Territory rough in idling when in Drive when foot on brake Pedal, out off drive Engine idling perfect. In reverse no proplem either. Please advice how to fix.

You may have engine mounts that defective or a grounded exhaust system causing the vibration. Before you do anything have a dealer look at this issue.

What is the red hand for on the ford territory meens

the red hand is usually an immobiliser fault if the vehicle is still running you should take it to a dealer and get it checked that is a better option than getting stuck somewhere if it isn't still running you could try starting the vehicle with another key if you have a spare if not it may need to be towed to a dealer as some of the immobiliser codes can only be cleared by a dealer

Replace rear brakes adjust handbrake

The hand brake hardly ever needs ajusting. See your hand brake mechanincly spreads your rear brake shose inside the drum. Therefore just replace your rear shoes and make sure there ajusted right and you should have no more problems with that part of your car. PS make sure you put some 3M paste on the contact points on your backing plate to avoid a squeak in the near future.
