CAR WON'T START WITH REMOTE WHEN IT'S COLD OUT. ALSO IT SHUTS ITSELF OFF WHEN IT GETS WARM OR REACHES A CERTAIN TEMP AFTER BEING STARTED WITH REMOTE. SOMETIMES IT TURNS ITSELF OFF AND ATTEMPTS TO RESTART ITSELF TWICE. ANY IDEAS WHAT THIS IS AND HOW TO FIX IT?

I suggest you check for trouble codes with a code reader. When the engine reaches operating temperature it goes from open loop into closed loop control, which relies on a readings from a number of sensors (particularly O2 sensors) to adjust fuel and ignition. If this problem is being caused by a sensor or computer problem, you should see the trouble code and you can go from there.
Perhaps this is a safety mechanism in your car. Once it gets to a certain temperature, it shuts itself off. There are alot of cars out there that once they overheat, and turn the car back on, it won't turn over.
the engines electric cooling fan is not designed to come on when u start the car, it only runs when the engine temp reaches about 225 degrees F, this only occurs after long idle times or very hot weather..
Start the vehcle and let it warm up then set all the controls to heater? Then turn off the car. Use the remote start to start the vehicle and check the controls are still set to heat mode.
It sounds like an engine temp sensor is open.. When your engine is cold or anti-freeze is cold your ECU or ECM gets a signal from the temp sensor for cold engine start. It would make sense that it works fine when hot because the resistance on the sensor is a lot lower. Take an ohm meter if you have one and check the resistance across the temp sensor pins. When the engine is cold the resisitance should be really high. Start and warm up your car to normal temp and check it again. It should be a lot lower now. If not replace it. Hope this helps.
