Carburetor on my 85 Deville only one injector works what could be the problem

On the the 86 year,they changed to the fuel injected in 86.5,Do you have a carburetor?I have a 85 Nissan service manual I got from the dealer.The 85 and 86 with the carburetor are the same,I have a 85 4x4 model,but I have installed a Weber carb. and I have a wiring diagram.

there's a shraeder valve to easily de-pressurize the fuel system before working on removing the injector...



you need to remove that plastic "beauty plate" to see the intake plenum/ manifold

he shows you how to unplug the electrical connector from that fuel injector

Fuel trim lean, banks 1 & 2. That's a pretty strong indication that you should check the fuel pump pressure at the fuel rail, and check the fuel flow rate while you're there. There's a good chance that your fuel pump is just about ready to be replaced.

If you see good pressure & flow rate, run a couple of jugs (not at the same time) of carburetor & fuel injector cleaner through the gas tank. It's possible that all your injectors have just gotten so dirty that they can't give you a full-rich mixture.

You'd best do it fairly soon - the engine is running lean, and it can't tolerate that for any great long time without some damage.

All Cadillac Deville models are FWD (front wheel drive) after 1985. The only RWD models made were the 85-92 Brougham, 92-96 Fleetwood Brougham, the 97-02 Catera, the 2004+ STS and 2003+ CTS.

The starter on that engine is mounted between the cylinder heads under the intake manifold. You will need a set of injector O-rings and an intake manifold gasket set to do the job. It is not really hard to do, but a bunch of stuff has to come loose to get the manifold off.
HINT: The gasket surfaces for the intake manifold are very easy to clean up in preparation of re-installing the manifold if you use some rags and carburetor cleaner.

...so you've got clogged injectors. What's your question?
This issue can be resolved by replacing the injectors, or you could try running some Lucas fuel additive...or running Seafoam cleaner into the intake system.

LOOK UNDER HOOD FOR INLINE FUEL FILTER THAT GOES TO CARBURETOR OR FUEL INJECTORS.

first, the 1993 cadillac deville should have a throttle body not a carburetor. And, I think it has ported fuel injection to each cylinder with a fuel injector for each cylinder if it's like my 1990 Cadillac Deville.

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.

check the ignition module to coil or you have ecm problems. have it scan.
