Check your coolant level. Top up as needed with recommended liquid. Low coolant can affect temperature in cabin as hot coolant from engine is directed through the heater (that's why it takes a few minutes for heater to work, the engine needs to be hot for the heat exchanger to do its job). If coolant OK then check to see if vents are blowing and blower motor pushing air.

Thermostat stuck open?
Faulty temp sensor or gauge?
If heat comes out of the heater, engine thermostat is ok. That will isolate it to probably the temp sensor in the temp indication system (sensor & gauge).
The cooling system should be full. Temp sensors cannot read the engine temperature of steam or empty cooling galleries.

The reason it heats up when not moving is because there is no air flow through the radiator . I am almost sure you will find the thermostat is faulty and stuck in the open position , have it replaced and all will be fine.

SOURCE: Maintenance required light is on. 1996 Honda Accord

Simple way to check if anything goes wrong is to go to Autozone store (if you are in US) and scan for trouble codes (if there are any of them). They do it free of charge. If you get any codes you can get the explanation of them here

SOURCE: Need 1996 Honda Accord radio code, please

Hiya,
Pull open the center console ash tray, depress the sides, giggle it out and you'll find a series of numbers ( I think on the bottom ) and there you will find your gold. The find digit number is it. If you entered too many wrong numbers, follow the manual on how to get more tries.
Also, this has to be the original radio in the car.

Having automatic shifting problem 1992 honda accord lx 2.2

Sounds like a month or two at most of normal driving before your transmission completely gives up. How many miles are on the vehicle and has the transmission ever been serviced? Also make sure it has enough tranny fluid, as this will cause it not to want to come out of park. good luck.

2004 Accord will not move on cold mornings

When you release the parking brake, the handle goes down, but the cable in the casing is probably not moving. When you drive away, your parking brake is still set. The movement of the wheels against the brake shoes (or discs) produces heat pretty quickly and causes the brakes to release (at least enough so that there is no longer any contact between the brake shoe or disc and the brake drum or rotor).
The casing normally runs from the back of each hub to a point somewhere forward where they come close together so the brake handle can pull both brake cables at once. The casings could be lubbed, but that is something you probably want a garage to try to do (pretty messy, spraying lub into a casing with the cable is in it, and not a guaranteed solution unless both cables are disconnected, removing from the casings, and cleaned).
Probably the best thing to do to solve the problem in the short run is NOT to set the parking brake in very cold weather.
Hope this is helpful.
