How do I get the radio/CD player digital display to work on my 2003 Pontiac Vibe. The radio and CD player work fine.

I uninstalled then reinstalled the factory radio on my 2003 Pontiac Vibe. Since reinstalling, the CD player and radio work, but the digital display doesn't.

Make sure the illumination wire is connected

Testimonial: "Thanks for the suggestion. The only things I removed (the reconnected) were the 2 multi-pin connectors and a single-pin connector(similar to an audio RCA plug), I don't think that's the problem."

Sounds like a wiring issue. Pull the radio out check see if wiring harness is plugged together fully if so may have something a little more internal.

It sounds like the mother board is bad and you are prob better off replacing the hole radio..
One ditch effort would be to disconnectt the neg battery terminal and wait about 5 minuets then put it back on.. That will reset anything and with any luck - the radio might clear its issue..

Good luck ;)

03 vibe cd player will not respond

I blew a fuse controlling the radio, charging system, turn signals, heater fan, ,etc..this ran down my battery.

When I replaced the fuse, the CD player would not respond, but the radio worked.

I disconnected the battery for over 30 seconds, hooked it back up, and the time reset on the radio to 12:00 and the CD player works again.

Car radio clock

YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE MINIATURE BULB THAT LITES UP THE DISPLAY, YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE RADIO FROM THE CAR AND THEN REMOVE THE TOP SHEET METAL COVER ON THE RADIO, YOU WILL SEE THE BULB SOCKET PLUGGED INTO THE BACK OF THE DISPLAY.
