Remove front wheels and check brake pads. If too thin, VSC will automatically turn off due to brake issues.

SOURCE: 2007 lexus rx350 ,vsc light on and check engine light is flashing

First check and make sure your gas cap is tight, if this does not resolve the problem read below.
A vacuum hose has become disconnected, more than likely due to having your air filter replaced. The VSC and Check engine light typically don't come on until after 150-200 miles after the vacuum hose was pulled out.
The fix: on the right-hand-side of the engine compartment behind the big plastic housing that holds the air filter you will find a black rubber hose that is not connected to anything. Squeeze the finger clamp on the hose and slide the hose back onto the half inch nipple on the back of the air filter's plastic housing.
In order for the VSC and Check engine light to be turned off, you will need to open the fuse box, right-side of the engine compartment, and pull the 20 amp EFI fuse for 10 seconds. This will reset the system. The fuse location is marked on the lid of the fuse box, also I believe the EFI fuse is the only 20 amp fuse
. This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

SOURCE: when starting my lexus GX 470 the vsc off light

The VSC on TRAC off lights will come on when there is an air fuel related issue.
If you have recently filled your tank, unscrew and tighten the gas cap till it clicks. The lights may need to be reset if they stay on after that. They will also be triggered by a fouled O2 sensor ins the engine or exhaust as well as a sticky throttle valve.
If a dealership resets the lights they can attach a code reader under dash to determine the cause in about 5 minutes.

SOURCE: Lexus 2001 RX300 - What is it when the Trac Off,

I have no mechanical experience and my Lexus 2001 Off truck, vsc, and check engine lights came on while driving. After a research on the net. I paid 10.00 for a diagnosis and came up with the code P1135 A/F Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1). I went to Autozone store in San Diego and purchase the sensor, 170.00 dollars. Went to a mechanic, lift the car up, pull the sensor out under the car and put the new one. The 3 lights went off. No more faulty codes. Labor 25.00 dollars. Except for the lifting of the car, the change of the sensor is like changing a spark plug. It was no difficult task and it took 15 minutes. 7/31/2010

Lexus is 250 wont shift beyond 3rd gear

Stuck in 3rd gear because you are on safe mode.
That's part of Toyota / Lexus technology to give you advantage to drive to mechanic without towing your car.

To get it shifts again do this:
Reset your ECU by pulling negative cable off your 12 v battery.
wait 5 mins then connect your negative cable on your battery.

you also need to scan your car to find out the problems.

My check engine light is on sometimes blinks, vsc light on and the other vs? lights on. new emissions in sept oil good radiator fluied good. is this a big problem should I tow it or drive it to be checked

This problem could be something major. But it could be something simple and safe to drive. But I would suggest towing it to be safe. Usually when the check engine light blinks it is something that is dangerous to drive. But not always. But I would suggest having the car towed to be on the safe side.

Vsc light on my lexus rx 350 2007 .

I'm not sure about the Lexus, but Nissan and other vehicles with the VSC usually will be on until you can drive on a straight road for approximately 2-3 miles without stops and about the same speed during the reset process. The interstate or some type of hwy will reset this light once the vehicle has learned the Vehicle Stabilization Control in which is learned by the way you drive and enables the car to have stable control. Hope this helps out, if this doesn't work, I would take it in for more diagnostics.

My lexus just quit working, it will crank but die when you put it in gear, the check engine light came on with a code of VSC any ideas. Thanks.

Saw this on a Lexus user club site ---
  • Vehicle Skid Control (VSC) senses the onset of loss of lateral traction and helps the driver stay on track. Input from four wheel-speed sensors, a yaw-rate (directional) sensor, a deceleration sensor, and a steering-wheel-angle sensor is communicated to the VSC computer. The system has the ability to reduce power and to control the brake actuator. Working with both ABS and TRAC, the VSC system helps the driver to compensate for loss of lateral traction, which can cause skids and loss of vehicle control. Lexus Vehicle Skid Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control.
However, it appears Lexus owners who have reported this sort of problem did not have to do anything to fix except - things like .. uncap gas cap and put it back, remove battery leads for about 10 minutes and put back, tighten air filter hose ...all wierd.

Have you checked your owner's manual ?

Lexus 330 Engine light is fleshing and VSC light on

Basically, stop driving it until you can get the transmission serviced.
If you can safely jack up the vehicle and support it so it cannot fall on you, you can possible save some money by checking all the electrical connections to the transmission. Sometimes the problem is a loose or bad connection. If that does not work, your safest bet is to bring it to a certified mechanic, especially one who specializes in Lexus.
