Program a new keyless entry remote for a 1995 toyota corolla? I have followed the instructions but it is not working
Trying to program a new keyless entry remote, I have followed the instructions that are in the manual and it still will not program. I push the program button on system, the key is in the ignition set to on, the sensor light comes on, I push the remote once, but nothing else happens. I have the doors closed while doing this. I have also tried doing it with the doors open with the same results

Keyless entry remotes allow you to put down and roll up the windows in your car. You would have to have the power windows feature installed on your keyless remote. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VVDI VAG Vehicle Diagnostic
I have the 2010 Toyota Venza push to start. I lost the original key, so i bought a new key with the remote and its was programmed successful but this remote only had the three buttons on it, instead of four buttons ( Including the Hutch button). So i bought another new remote with the four buttons today and I want to know if it will work when i switch the programmed key into the new remote?
Try reprogramming the remotes. Here are the instructions for the procedure. Hope it helps. Cobra!
Programming
NOTE: All keyless entry remote transmitters (15K601) must be
programmed at the same time. NOTE: To program (or reprogram) the keyless entry remote transmitters
into the RAP module, perform the following steps:
Make sure that the anti-theft system is not armed or triggered.
Turn the ignition switch (11572) from OFF to RUN eight times within ten
seconds, ending in RUN. If the RAP module has successfully entered program mode,
it will lock and then unlock all doors.
Within 20 seconds, press any button on a keyless entry remote transmitter,
and the doors will lock and then unlock to confirm that each keyless entry
remote transmitter has been programmed. Repeat this step for each
transmitter.
If the door locks do not respond for any keyless entry remote transmitter,
wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to
respond, refer to Inspection and Verification.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, or wait up to 20 seconds after
step 2, to exit program mode. If a keyless entry remote transmitter has been
programmed (or reprogrammed), the RAP module will lock and unlock all doors one
last time to confirm.
Try Ebay and search for 95 Caddi Deville Remote. It cost about 19.95 for new remote and it even comes with instructions on how to program it. I had a similar problem. Mine works great now......
If the remote is generic you will need the factory remote to "clone" the signal to the new remote.
With your oem pontiac remote you may need to visit any GM service center to have the remote set to the cars receiver. There are literally 100,000 different variables GM uses to ensure one remote can't work the wrong car. A typical key programming will run you between $30-$60 depending on how much greed the technician has. Some good technicians will do this job for free simply to make a customer happy so you may wish to call around.
