What kind of fuel pump issues ? Doesn't have an inertia fuel shut off switch if that's what your think . Ford use's that . Looking at a wiring diagram an testing the electrical circuit with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter is the way to find the problem . Your vehicle use's a fuel pump relay .
In a nutshell, you disconnect everything attached to it and slide it out the passenger side between the subframe and frame. Obviously, you have to disconnect all of the fluid lines, the tie rod ends on both sides, and the 2 (or 3) bolts that holds it in the car, along with the steering shaft.
C4 Corvettes have an Outside Air Temperature sensor which may be faulty. It senses air temp in front of the car and tells the climate control unit (which controls the heat/ac) what the temp outside is. Yours is in front of the grill. It's a $20 part. It looks like the attached link. I'm not sure if this is your issue, but it was on my son's car. I just thought it might give you a direction to check.
