Shoot a little ether in the intake. If it doesnt start then, consider maybe the distributor is 180 degrees out.If it does start with ether, check your fuel flow to the piston. I am assuming that this truck hasnt started since all these new things were put on.

Spark at plugs? Fuel filter? Pressure on injector delivery line? Pressure relief valve? You may be able to measure fuel pressure at the pressure relief valve location. and return line. If you have spark, I'd say it's a fuel supply problem

SOURCE: engine turns over but will not start

Check the distributor and timing order to make sure it has not jumped at all from a timing malfunction.

Why is my 1987 ford ranger acking iike its loosing fule pressurs win diving

It may BE losing fuel pressure, Robert. Check the fuel pressure and flow rate at the fuel rail. Filter, plugs, and cap have nothing to do with fuel pressure - your fuel pump and pressure regulator are the only things that can change fuel pressure very much.

1994 Ford Ranger 4.0 cranks runs about 1 to 1 1/2 minute and cuts off.

There are 2 relays in the relay box that could cause this problem the EEC relay and the FUEL pump relay the best test for EEC relay back probe the throttle position sensor for the 5 volts reference signal run engine and watch to see if you lose this voltage. and fuel pump relay install a fuel pressure gauge to fuel rail service port and check to see if pressure drops to zero.

85 ford rangers acts like it is out of gas

You would check fuel pump pressure with a gauge and try to verify the engine is lacking fuel to proceed. If it does not start, have you checked the EEC and fuel pump relays to verify the pump is running ?

84 ford ranger will start but wont stay running

You would check the EEC relay, and the fuel pump relay, then check for fuel pressure with a gauge and find out if the pump is running when the engine dies.

My 89 ford ranger will some times stall and not start back. You can turn key but fuel pump doesn't start but next day it may run fine

I would suspect a bad eec relay. These used to go out commonly, and the eec relay is what powers up the fuel pump relay.
