I have a almost unbearable humming vibration in rear of my '05 Ford Focus hatchback at all speeds, more so from the right side, it gets worse when driving faster. All new 'quiet' tires and rims, brakes pads, alignment and balancing all done today. When turning sharp left-hand corners it lessens. There is a little more clearance in right wheel well, as if car had hit a curb on the left side, but it hasn't to my recollection. Any ideas?
It sounds like one of your rear wheel bearing hub has gone bad and needs to be replaced before you lose your wheel. I am thinking to pay attention to the right rear wheel hub bearing than needs to be replaced, they go for around $170.00 at Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step instructions to get the job done with common tools or you can use there loner program if you need to borrow a tool you may not have. With the car parked walk to the rear wheels and push and pull on the top of the tire (Side to side), feel and listen for any play. You should not hear or feel any play at all unless the wheel hub has gone bad. It take less then 1-1/2 hour to change the wheel hub and less if your good with tools. Good luck and keep me posted friend. Be safe.
Could be an exhaust leak...have a friend accelerate in park and place you your hand by the exhaust and see if it blows out fully
Raise the rear and secure with a jack stands, rotate LT/RT wheel and listen to for bearing noise and inspect suspension for wear/damage....if ok, raise the RF wheel and check the HALF-SHAFT support bearing, you can replace the SHAFT or just the bearing......hope this helped...Gl...be safe
It maybe the wheel if tracking straight stand good distance from car does wheel look straight? lay long staight ruler over tire does i keep same distance from side of car, could be bad wheel bearing,
