Got the oil pan down drive shaf out on both sides
You may want to be careful doing that. I tried doing that by myself and not only did I make a huge mess but I couldn't figure out how to put it back together again. My brother came over and was able to put it back on and then we took my truck to an auto body shop to get fixed up properly. Lesson learned: don't go solo on things that you know nothing about. Okay, here goes... First, you shouldn't have to remove the engine.
1: Center a piece of 2x6 lumber on the floor jack so you don't dent or poke a hole in the pan.
2: Jack the engine up enough, to relieve the weight off the motor mounts.
3: Remove the large mount bolts that holds the two halves of the motor mount together.
4: Jack the engine up so the upper half of the mount is above the large bolt holes.
5: Replace the large bolt back into the lower have of the mount.
6: Lower the engine so the upper half of the mount, rests on the large mount bolt.
7: Lower the jack and get it out of your way.
In some cases, it's easier to remove the starter and get it out of the way, before you try to remove the pan. It ends up saving time in the long run.
By following these instructions, you should now have just enough room to remove the pan. Be sure to drain the oil before you do any of this, or you'll end up with oil all over yourself!
Good luck and Merry Christmas, Bill
Personally I'd just pull the engine. Easier. Try jacking it up see if there is enough room..

To remove the engine oil pan either the engine has to be lifted all the way off of the motor mounts and the oil pan should just clear the flex-plate and transmission, or the front axle dropped down out of the way, or the transmission and flex-plate will have to be removed.
Usually if the engine can be lifted enough to fit a piece of 2x4 wood between the motor mounts and the frame then the oil pan will usually just have enough clearance to be removed from the rear and the oil pan should just clear the transmission and the flex-plate. Also, be sure to check that the fan blade does not damage the fan shroud when lifting the engine.
Let me know if you require any further assistance.
Hello....The first thing that you want to check..since you said the leak is in front is the area around the bottom of the crank shaft..If the oil is comming from there...This is where the main oil seal is for the crank shaft bearing...If no oil is comming from that area...you can breath a sigh of relief...There are a lot of stop leak products for everything from radiators to oil systems to transmissions...I'm not a big fan beacuse ...If it can stop a leak...it can stop the flow....The best cure for an oil pan leak is to drain the oil.....Drop the oil pan...replace the gasket...and if you do it right...you'll be good to go for a long time...PS.....don't forget to replace the oil....I hope this was helpful.....PEACE.....
